The enemy's attacks came like a tide. Qin Yao fought with the elite warriors while protecting Lin Yao and retreating to a safe area. The enemy's strength clearly exceeded their expectations, and each attack aimed at their vital points. Qin Yao was already covered in blood, but his eyes remained cold and resolute.

"Qin Yao, be careful!" Lin Yao saw an elite warrior aiming an energy gun at Qin Yao's back. In desperation, she rushed forward and pushed Qin Yao away with force, but she herself was affected by the energy.

"Yao Yao!" Qin Yao's angry roar shook the entire field. He held Lin Yao, who had fallen, in his arms, his eyes filled with guilt and anger. He turned back to glare at the enemy, and his aura suddenly surged, as if a dormant power had been awakened.

"You are seeking death!" Qin Yao growled. A burning light ignited all over his body, and the energy fluctuations in the air suddenly intensified. He attacked like thunder, each strike carrying a strong destructive aura, instantly repelling several enemies.

However, the enemy leader did not panic. He coldly stared at Qin Yao, a strange smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "So it is. The power of the 'Source' has begun to awaken. However, it will ultimately be used by me!"

Lin Yao fell to the ground, feeling a strange and powerful force flowing within her. Her body began to glow, and a warm energy emanated from her heart, quickly healing her injuries.

"What is this?" Lin Yao looked at her hands in disbelief. She felt that the power within her seemed to be calling for something.

"Yao Yao, don't move! That is the power of the 'Source'," Qin Yao turned to look at her, urgency in his voice. "You can't use it casually, or there will be danger!"

However, the enemy leader obviously wouldn't give them a chance to catch their breath. He raised the device in his hand and said coldly, "Since the 'Source' has started to awaken, don't blame me for taking matters into my own hands." Before he finished speaking, he activated the device, and a powerful gravitational wave rushed straight towards Lin Yao.

Instinctively, Lin Yao raised her arms, and the light emitted actually blocked the gravitational wave. There was a newfound determination in her eyes, as if she had understood her mission.

"If this is my fate, then I will no longer run away," Lin Yao slowly stood up, her gaze fixed on the enemy, the light around her body growing brighter.

"Yao Yao, no! You'll lose control!" Qin Yao's voice was filled with anxiety, but Lin Yao smiled at him. "Qin Yao, I believe you can protect me. Now, it's my turn to protect you."

Her body began to rise, and the light enveloped the entire factory like a blazing sun. The enemy leader's expression finally changed. He seemed to have not expected Lin Yao's power to be so great.

"Stop her! Hurry!" The leader's order made all the elite warriors rush towards Lin Yao, but they couldn't get close at all and were sent flying by the powerful energy waves.

Lin Yao closed her eyes and thought to herself, "If this power can help Qin Yao and me get out of this predicament, then I'm willing to pay the price."

The moment she fully released her power, a huge beam of light shot up into the sky, directly destroying the upper floor of the factory. The enemies were forced to retreat, but before leaving, the leader said in a low voice, "Lin Yao, don't think this is over. The awakening of the 'Source' has just begun."

The light gradually faded, and Lin Yao fell from mid - air. Qin Yao quickly caught her, his eyes full of worry.

"Yao Yao, how are you? Are you feeling unwell anywhere?" Qin Yao asked urgently.

Lin Yao shook her head slightly, her voice weak but firm: "Qin Yao, we are still alive, right?"

Qin Yao nodded and hugged her tightly. "Yes, we are still alive. Everything will be okay."

However, his gaze was deep and complex because he knew that the enemy would not give up easily, and Lin Yao's awakening also foreshadowed a greater crisis to come.
