10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 188: Excitement

The Eternal Sanctum buzzed with excitement as the battle between House Chen and House Imperial entertained them greatly.

A Prince facing the greatest prodigy. The strongest team against the team with the greatest potential.

Not to mention, the battle itself proved to be much more exciting from the very start.

Everyone was surprised to see Elara's power, so they cheered for her even more. After all, people liked strong and beautiful things. Elara was both.

While others found their excitement in the vicious fight between the two teams' Fighters. Many liked brawlers, so their clash was even more fun to watch for them.

The only thing that confused them greatly was Aegon's actions. They couldn't understand what he was doing instead of fighting. But they laughed seeing how he dealt with the Prince.

Sitting on the highest throne, Samuel propped his chin on his palm and smiled. 'Using all kinds of unconventional methods, huh. He's really taken after you, Olena.'

Thinking of his old friend, he sighed and leaned back. 'But can your grandson win this?'

Raphael was his grandson, so he knew him very well. Even if his family members thought they hid their secrets well, nothing remained hidden from him. It was just that he never bothered bringing those secrets out, as he didn't see any point in doing so.

But this also told him that Aegon's chances of winning were low. Elara's sudden show of strength certainly increased his chances, but unless he pulled out some deep strategy, he would lose.

Nonetheless, Samuel's years of friendship with Aegon told him that he was in for a surprise. Aegon's mind had definitely cooked up something weird.

'I can't wait to see what you've planned, brat.'

On the other hand, Arnold sat on his seat comfortably, watching as his daughter cheered so loudly for his grandson. He felt a headache from her shouting, so he lightly smacked her head.

"Ouch! Why are you hitting me, Elder Old?" Xiu asked, massaging her head as if it really hurt.

Arnold ignored her dramatic acting and said, "Let me watch in silence. It's not like he can hear you anyway."

"Tsk! Tsk! You're really getting old and senile," Xiu shook her head in disappointment, earning a few strange gazes.

Only she would dare talk like that to Arnold. They also noticed how Arnold's face didn't even change expression, showing how used he was to her nonsense.

"Our hearts are connected, so he can definitely hear me," Xiu said with full confidence. "I'm sending him my energy."

"Don't do that, Little Xiu," Aurelia chuckled and said. "What if you send your stupidity to him?"

"Even after so many years, the only thing you took from me is nonsensical habits," Xiu clicked her tongue and said. "Oh yeah, you trained El really well. I can see your reflection in her."

Aurelia puffed out her chest in pride and said, "Of course! She's my daughter, after all."

"Tell me honestly," Xiu asked, eyeing her suspiciously. "She trained herself, didn't she?"

"Aiyo! Why are you so cute and adorable?" Aurelia pouted and said. "We're sisters, so of course we're also useless for our children."

"No! I definitely trained my Little Sun," Xiu denied immediately.

"Ask yourself, Xiu. Did you train him, or did he train you?" Aurelia asked, smiling meaningfully as she placed her hand on Xiu's shoulder.

Xiu puffed her cheeks and looked away.

Aurelia pinched her cheeks and then turned toward the screen. "What is he doing anyway?"

"Rune Formation," Nora replied, her eyes glued to the screen. "What I don't understand is how he can do that without a Kalam. It's weird."

"You sure about that?" Xiu asked, rubbing her chin. "As expected of my son, he even became a RuneMaster."

Nora ignored her boasting and took out a wooden Kalam. Then she followed Aegon's movements and turned her head once she finished.

Staring at the single rune floating before her, Nora frowned and muttered.

"Absorption?"

Meanwhile, Amon had similar thoughts. 'The Elf Princess certainly changed a lot of things.'

"Is he making a Rune Formation again?" Arthur asked, utterly confused.

"I think so," Liliana replied.

"But I've never seen someone make formations without a Kalam under such circumstances!" Arthur commented.

As the Marshal, he dealt with RuneMasters all the time, so he was very familiar with how they worked. Yet, Aegon didn't follow anything he knew.

"By now, you should have gotten used to Young Master doing bizarre things," Rovan said, laughing to himself.

"You have any clue?" Arthur asked.

"Certainly not. Well, I know he carved Absorption Runes along with a few others on the turrets, but how he's doing that? I have no clue," Rovan responded with a smile. "But I've grown used to his miracles."

"His hand… it's weird!" Liliana commented, her eyes narrowing.

"Perhaps."

"The Prince has great potential, don't you agree, Dear Marshal?" Amon asked, his monocle glistening in the dim light.

"No doubt about it!" Arthur replied without any hesitation. "This year, we got many talents. His talent is unique even among them."

"He'll be a good control mage in the army, right?" Amon asked.

"State your intentions directly," Liliana said, giving him side glances. "Stop playing with words."

"Haha! What's the fun in that?" Amon laughed and said. "As for my intentions, you'll know them in due time."

The match progressed with more and more exciting battles, keeping the audience across the Empire entertained. They felt reassured that they were in safe and powerful hands.

Humanity's future was bright with such talents to guide and protect everyone.

But everyone still remained confused about Aegon's strange actions. Throughout the whole match, he continued to mess around with the turrets and then the base, leaving them baffled.

However, they remembered how Aegon won against Gabriel, so they hoped he had some tricks prepared.

One by one, the turrets fell and the match grew closer to the end, increasing the excitement among the audience.

Finally, Rosa and Xavier died, and Raphael decided to end this once and for all. The audience could see it as well. Meanwhile, on the other side, Aegon was still busy with his work, which meant only Cali and Elara would defend.

It worried the audience, but they were even more surprised when Cali backed away and Elara faced the enemies all alone.

That moment remained carved deeply in everyone's hearts as Elara decimated everything with her arrows.
