Chapter 924 Cultivation
Cultivation of the Seven Wheels: Base Wheel, Abdominal Wheel, Navel Wheel, Illusion Sea, Heart Wheel, Throat Wheel, Crown Wheel.
This is a Cultivation Technique imparted by Doumu. The Innate Qi is the reason Xinsu can cultivate within himself. Each time he uses the Divine Light from the Eye of Consciousness to envelop the Innate Qi and push it into one of the Seven Wheels, his control over cultivation becomes slightly stronger.
When Li Huowang fully controlled the Base Wheel, he was able to briefly turn a stone into a real apple using cultivation.
When Li Huowang controlled the Abdominal Wheel, he could liquify the earth beneath his feet and deflect incoming arrows.
By the time Li Huowang controlled the Navel Wheel, he could conjure fire from thin air and twist a person into a heap of mud with just a stare.
This time, as the Divine Light from the three Xinsus and the Innate Qi surged into Li Huowang's body, he proceeded to advance to the next wheel.
With more Divine Light pulling the Innate Qi, Li Huowang also dragged more Innate Qi, cultivating faster.
Yet, Li Huowang felt these powers slipping slightly out of control. After all, these things didn't truly belong to him, and he dared not lose focus for even a moment.
In this state, Li Huowang didn't know how much time had passed or what was happening outside. The only thought occupying his mind was to cultivate.
Li Huowang's attention was tightly wound, focusing wholly on using the Divine Light to draw out the Innate Qi within him, tripling in number and noticeably increasing speed.
The Innate Qi, as solid as iron, began to gradually align with the overlay of a wheel. At the last moment of the overlap's completion, his consciousness suddenly exploded, dispersing rapidly, and he knew nothing.
When Li Huowang gradually came back to his senses, he found himself sitting cross-legged in mid-air, with Li Sui watching him from afar as if facing a great enemy.
Meanwhile, the previous furnishings in the room had vanished, leaving an empty expanse around him, stark white and vastly different from the previous Cultivation Room.
Li Huowang surveyed his surroundings, and with a thought, the vanished chairs, beams, and floor returned instantly, appearing just as they had before cultivation.
His cultivation ability had grown stronger and the range had expanded; Li Huowang estimated he could now extend to several dozen meters.
"Dad, it seems my method indeed worked. It only took ----" "Wait!!"
Li Huowang interrupted Li Sui, drenched in cold sweat, "Don't speak yet. Give me food and water!"
Soon, Li Huowang's requests were met. After gobbling down the food and drink, he lay down on the ground and fell asleep without even glancing at Li Sui.
Upon waking, feeling rejuvenated, Li Huowang finally explained to Li Sui: "After my cultivation, don't tell me how long it took. If it was too long, I'm afraid I would starve myself to death."
Before finding out how long he had been hungry, he first needed to satisfy his basic needs of eating, drinking, and sleeping to get past this trouble.
"Go ahead, continue what you were saying." Li Huowang casually pulled out a strand of hair from his head, using it as a toothpick while cleaning his teeth and speaking.
"What I wanted to say is that cultivation didn't take long, only two days. Our method proved effective."
"No, it's still not enough." Li Huowang shook his head, "Last time, I played a trick on him with Touzi. If Zuo Qiuyong really comes back, he might use the full power of Tianchen."
"An entity like the Fate Commander of a world turning against us is no joke."
"Since we're set to use this method, let's get me to Seven Wheels as quickly as possible before Zuo Qiuyong makes a move! I'm only at Four Wheels now."
At this point, Li Huowang held back one thought; even if his cultivation in the Seven Wheels reached Great Accomplishment, he might still not be a match for Zuo Qiuyong, the Fate Commander of the land.
However, the one solace was that he wasn't fighting alone this time, as both Da Qi and Da Liang stood by his side.
"The more Xinsu, the better. Find as many as you can. Try every possible way to gather all the Xinsu in the world." Li Huowang patted Li Sui on the shoulder, preparing to resume cultivation soon.
The Cultivation Technique requires more Innate Qi and Divine Light, but this last-minute effort is better than doing nothing.
"Dad, are there Xinsu in Da Qi's side? Get them to help as well."
"Ha, Xinsu in Da Qi? There might not even be a few alive over there, so we can't rely on Da Qi for this."
"Go tell Gao Zhijian not to be overly meticulous in his calculations and not to expect Da Qi to withstand Tianchen alone. That's impossible."
"I know the Dragon Vein is precious and Dragon Qi accumulates slowly, but if there's ever a time to use the Dragon Vein, it's now."
"If we don't use the Dragon Vein, there might be no future opportunity, and all he'll be fit for is to serve as Zuo Qiuyong's steed."
The breakthrough Li Huowang envisioned still involved heading to the White Jade Capital. He couldn't believe that, after all the help he had given the Fate Commanders, they wouldn't come to his aid. What could these Fate Commanders possibly be preoccupied with?
"Alright, Dad, I'm off. You don't need to worry about these trivial matters; leave them to me."
Watching Li Sui leave, Li Huowang sat cross-legged once again, preparing to resume cultivation. Just as he closed his eyes, he suddenly felt he'd forgotten something important.
"Strange, what did I forget?" Li Huowang pondered for a moment before reaching towards his head.
With a gentle swipe of his nail, his scalp split open. With another swipe, his bleached skull opened as well, and Li Huowang plunged his hand into his brain to rummage around. With a slight tug, a bloody Hong Zhong mahjong tile appeared in his hand.
This mahjong was a token Touzi placed in his mind to deliver a message about natural disasters. Now that the task was complete, the mahjong tile lingered in his mind, not removed. If one were to say this was an oversight by Touzi, Li Huowang wouldn't believe it.
"This guy is indeed full of treachery, harboring ill intentions. Next time we deal with him, I'll have to keep a close watch." Clenching his hand, Li Huowang crushed the mahjong tile into powder.
When Li Huowang closed his eyes to cultivate once more, Li Sui stood at the door, watching the Cultivation Room.
From the inside and outside, it was not the same at all. The wooden cabin appeared completely distorted, falling apart, where new and decayed coexisted in a single moment.
And all this was caused by Li Huowang's cultivation. Why such a phenomenon occurred, even he himself likely didn't know.
Yet, this strangely wondrous and teetering house not only refused to collapse, but also seemed to breathe like a living entity.
"Notify the people below to clear the area, no one should stay here." This was just the fourth wheel of cultivation; who knew what might happen next.
The Xuan Pin didn't want, even before the fight started, for everything in Da Liang to get wiped out by his own father.
"Yes, my lord." The pillar beside him spoke.
