Chapter 29 It's not a pervert, it's a monster
“Unravel it!” Jun Jiu commanded.
The sunlight illuminated the freshly revealed surface of the rough stone, casting a stunning brilliance. Pure spiritual energy surged forth, and the mocking remarks were silenced instantly.
Wide-eyed and shocked, everyone present watched in astonishment.
A spiritual stone!
It had been successfully unlocked!
Yun Qiao smiled gently and congratulated Jun Jiu. “Congratulations, Miss Jun, on unlocking the spirit stone.”
Although it wasn’t the stone he had chosen, Yun Qiao was relieved as he watched Jun Jiu achieve victory.
Jun Wan’er, on the other hand, was left dumbfounded. Her eyes widened, and her chest rose and fell rapidly. How was this possible? How could she have unlocked a spirit stone? Who was this unknown girl, and how could she rival her in stone gambling?
But Jun Jiu paid little heed to Jun Wan’er’s shock. She proceeded to have the remaining rough stones unraveled, one by one.
Each time, the crowd’s amazement grew more pronounced until it evolved into sheer disbelief.
She had managed to unlock spiritual stones from every single rough stone!
The entire stone appreciation party was abuzz with excitement. All eyes were fixed on Jun Jiu. People stared at her as if she were a rare and extraordinary being. To be so young and consistently extract spiritual stones from the rough stones she had chosen—this was nothing short of miraculous.
Even Yun Qiao looked at Jun Jiu in astonishment. However, she seemed completely unfazed by the attention. Jun Jiu instructed the steward to pack up all the spirit stones, and once the task was complete, she turned her gaze towards Jun Wan’er.
“You lost; it’s time to fulfill your bet,” Jun Jiu said calmly.
“What?” Panic flooded Jun Wan’er. Kneel down and apologize to Jun Jiu? That was utterly inconceivable! She backed away and glared at Jun Jiu. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“You don’t know?” Jun Jiu arched an eyebrow, her voice cold and merciless. It cut through the air like a sharp blade, promising bloodshed.
Jun Wan’er’s vision blurred, and her body suddenly felt heavy. Her shoulders slumped, and she seemed disoriented.
Boom!
An intense pain surged through her knees as she fell to the ground. The impact was excruciating, and Jun Wan’er couldn’t help but cry out in pain. She desperately tried to stand up, but an oppressive weight bore down on her shoulders, rendering her immobile.
Dazed and confused, she looked up to see Jun Jiu standing before her, her posture imposing and her eyes exuding a chilling, bloodthirsty cruelty.
Terrified, Jun Wan’er stammered, “What are you doing?”
“I’m helping you remember,” Jun Jiu replied coldly. “When you lose in a bet, you kneel and crawl out on your knees to apologize.”
Jun Wan’er was in shock, unable to move or resist. It was as though she had been bewitched into kneeling on the ground.
Unbeknownst to her, Jun Jiu had found her pressure point. Any attempt to rise would be met with unbearable pain.
In front of the crowd, Jun Wan’er struggled, her face contorted with humiliation. She couldn’t believe her predicament. How could she, the eldest daughter of the Jun family in Fengluo City, be forced to crawl on her knees? It was unthinkable. She glared at Jun Jiu and tried to deny it, but Jun Jiu’s cold gaze left her trembling with fear.
“Why are you so proud?” Jun Jiu taunted. “Don’t waste everyone’s time.”
Jun Wan’er’s voice wavered as she retorted, “Do you even know who I am? I am the eldest daughter of the Jun family in Fengluo City! How dare you treat me like this?”
Jun Lei also rose to his feet, his face darkening with anger and embarrassment. This incident not only humiliated Jun Wan’er but also reflected poorly on their family in Imperial City. However, before he could utter a word, Yun Qiao’s icy gaze fell upon him, causing Jun Lei to freeze.
Yun Qiao demanded, “Why aren’t you kneeling for her?”
Jun Lei couldn’t believe his ears. Kneel for her? It was inconceivable!
Fearing Yun Qiao’s wrath, Jun Lei glared at Jun Wan’er and angrily scolded her, “Jun Wan’er, what are you waiting for? Apologize immediately and crawl out on your knees! This is all your fault for making such a foolish bet!”
Jun Wan’er had no choice but to comply, her pride shattered and her tears streaming down her face. This humiliating experience was entirely of her own making, and she had no one to blame but herself.
