Chapter 20 - I'm Sorry, We Don't Have Anyone Named Qin Yu Here
“Hehehe, hehehe.”
Chang Qing, facing Qing Mu, awkwardly chuckled a few times.
Qing Mu put away his card gun.
“Are you seriously ill? It was Lin Qianqian who beat you up. Why bother me? Go find Lin Qianqian.”
“Well, you see, Lin Qianqian’s dad is the Minister of the Yancheng Defense Base. I can’t afford to mess with her family, so I thought I’d let off some steam with you. I didn’t expect you to be such a tough nut to crack. Now, it seems I’ve made a grave mistake.”
Although Chang Qing had spoken tough words during lunch, in reality, he wouldn’t dare to provoke Lin Qianqian’s family no matter how courageous he pretended to be. If he angered Lin Zhendong, their entire family business might be ruined.
Chang Qing had pursued Lin Qianqian for all these years partly with the idea of aligning himself with the Lin family’s influence.
“Well, I thought you were tougher than this,” Qing Mu said, feeling extremely exasperated. It seemed he looked like an easy target, easily bullied.
“You brought so many people to bother me, and my request isn’t that high, is it? Just a kick, that’s not too much, is it?”
“Well…”
Chang Qing hesitated. He had already been kicked by Lin Qianqian earlier in the day. If he got kicked by Qing Mu now, his reputation would be completely tarnished.
But Qing Mu wasn’t really negotiating with Chang Qing; he was just informing him.
Taking advantage of Chang Qing’s distraction, Qing Mu lifted his leg and delivered a swift kick right to Chang Qing’s backside.
*Thud!*
Chang Qing was knocked over, landing on the ground, clutching his rear end and yelling in pain.
“Ouch!”
Qing Mu’s kick had much more force behind it than Lin Qianqian’s.
Chang Qing lay on the ground, writhing in pain and regretting his actions.
“All right, our score is settled. As long as you don’t bother me in the future, I won’t do anything to you. Goodbye.”
After kicking Chang Qing, Qing Mu’s mood improved significantly.
Satisfied, he left the scene.
Chang Qing now both hated and feared Qing Mu. All the misfortunes he had encountered today seemed to be connected to Qing Mu. However, Qing Mu’s card gun was terrifying, so he dared not provoke him further. He could only grit his teeth and swallow his pride.
…
Later, Qing Mu hailed a taxi by the roadside and headed to Eternal Technology Inc.
Eternal Technology Inc. was located in a newly developed area to the south of Yancheng. Because it was a new district, the entire area was virtually deserted, with barely a soul in sight.
Qing Mu, observing the surroundings along the way, felt like he had arrived in a ghost town.
The taxi pulled up in front of the company’s entrance.
Qing Mu paid the fare and stepped out of the taxi, making his way into the lobby.
“Hello, how may I assist you?” greeted the receptionist warmly and courteously.
Qing Mu replied, “I’m here to see my father, Qin Yu. He’s a department head here and hasn’t been home for many days. His phone is also unreachable. I’d like to know what he’s up to.”
The receptionist wore a professional smile and said, “Qin Yu, is it? Please have a seat and wait for a moment. I’ll check if we have such a person in the company.”
“Alright,” Qing Mu said, sitting on one of the nearby sofas, patiently waiting.
The receptionist dialed an internal line to contact the control room. After a brief conversation, she hung up and approached Qing Mu, bowing respectfully, “I apologize, but I’ve confirmed that we don’t have a department head named Qin Yu here. Are you sure you’ve got the right person or place?”
“No? Are you sure?” Qing Mu asked suspiciously.
“Yes, indeed. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of assistance,” the receptionist replied, her demeanor almost robotic and devoid of emotion, maintaining the utmost professionalism.
“How is that possible? My father has been working here for several years. There’s no way he wouldn’t be here. Are you absolutely certain?” Qing Mu’s brow furrowed deeply in disbelief.
“I apologize, but if you have no other business here, I must ask you to leave. It’s company policy, and we don’t allow outsiders to linger,” the receptionist said, effectively issuing Qing Mu an eviction notice.
If Eternal Technology Inc. denied the existence of Qin Yu, it was a significant issue. It could mean that the company had erased any traces of him or was trying to hide something. Alternatively, Qin Yu might have been lying to Qing Mu about his true identity. Either possibility was enough to give Qing Mu a major headache.
“I’m sorry, perhaps I made a mistake. I’ll leave now.”
Since the company didn’t acknowledge Qin Yu’s existence, Qing Mu couldn’t press the matter further. He had no choice but to leave for now.
Once Qing Mu departed, the receptionist, who had been all smiles moments ago, immediately had a change of demeanor. She exuded a cold and ominous aura.
“Qing Mu has left. Send a few people to intercept him on his way back. Maybe he has clues to finding Qin Yu. That guy Qin Yu collaborated with outsiders to steal company secrets; we absolutely cannot let him get away!”
Her words sounded like she was issuing orders to someone, but it also seemed like she was talking to herself.
……..
After leaving Eternal Technology Inc., Qin Yu didn’t give up. He had more trust in his parents than in the company. He believed that his parents wouldn’t lie to him about something like this. So, Qin Yu made a bold decision: to sneak into Eternal Technology Inc. and find out what they were up to and what secrets they might be hiding.
Sneaking into the company on his own would be difficult, so he needed external help. Qin Yu found a secluded spot, intending to transform into Kamen Rider Decade and use the Rider’s power to infiltrate.
However, before he could transform, a group of strangers with sunglasses and cold expressions surrounded him. They quickly encircled Qin Yu.
Qing Mu held the Decade Rider card in his hand and asked, “What do you want?”
The group of people remained silent. Instead, they removed their coats and took out an orange-red Gaia Memory.
Qing Mu recognized it immediately – it was a Magma Memory. When properly modified, combined with the Lava Memory, it could transform a person into a powerful Magma Dopant.
“So, you’re here to fight me,” Qing Mu remarked. “That makes things easier. I hope you can make it interesting.”
He tossed the Decade Rider card into the Decade Driver, pushed the base, and called out, “Kamen Ride! Decade!”
Qing Mu transformed into Kamen Rider Decade. Meanwhile, several of the strangers activated their Magma Memories.
“Magma!”
The activation sound rang out, and they all had Gaia Memory connectors on their arms. They aligned the Magma Memory connectors with the ports and forcefully connected them.
A powerful eruption of lava energy occurred, and the individuals transformed into Magma Dopants, surrounded by blazing flames.
