Chapter 1216: Money-Squandering Den
Reyno Star City, also known as "Locke Starport", was the first star city built outside Magus World.
Lorianne had visited it before and had mentioned it to Sein more than once.
Sein himself had been to a few starports beyond Magus World. He had even helped Lorianne retrieve the prism forts and war airships she had purchased and delivered there.
A starport was a special interstellar hub constructed from massive asteroids, or sometimes even entire demiplanes, orbiting outside Magus World.
Most starports existed to accommodate large-scale war platforms like space fortresses, prism forts, and war airships.
Some were privately owned, while others operated as public starports.
If Sein ever bought a space fortress in the future, he could not keep it in Magus World long-term. He would need to dock it at one of these starports.
The starports scattered around the edges of Magus World's domain served another important purpose: economic growth.
As the core of the Magus Alliance, Magus World was not open to just anyone.
Only those who had been summoned or passed strict approval procedures were allowed entry.
For most members of allied planes, entering was either outright forbidden or came with too much red tape.
Because of that, starports became essential trade hubs connecting Magus World to the rest of the worlds.
So far, the most prestigious auction Sein had ever attended took place at one of these starports.
The "Reyno Star City" Black Oblivion mentioned was the biggest, most prosperous, and busiest of them all.
Rumor had it that Reyno Star City housed all sorts of unimaginable powers. Even Rank Six elites or overlord-level beings had to think twice before making trouble there.
Its sheer strength, combined with its open and free atmosphere, had turned Reyno into one of the most famous economic centers and money-squandering dens across the entire Magus Alliance.
In this place, Rank Four and above extraplanar beings were a common sight.
Every year, the total magicoin transaction volume reached into the trillions.
For many foreign deities who had joined the Magus Alliance, visiting Reyno Star City was practically a rite of passage.
Those who had never been there were sometimes regarded as inexperienced by their peers, given the city's reputation as a domain reserved for the powerful and capable.
As a young Rank Four powerhouse, Black Oblivion was nothing like Tourmaline, who preferred staying close to home. He was not as mature as his two older brothers, nor did he have the tact and poise of White Stella.
After visiting Reyno Star City twice, the place had completely dazzled him.
Most of the money he had earned fighting in the Wild Gorilla World War had already been blown in Reyno.
In that sense, White Stella's opinion of her younger brother was not wrong.
Even if Black Oblivion had grown a lot more composed than he used to be, deep down, he was still a bit of a troublemaker.
When he brought up Reyno Star City to Sein, part of him genuinely thought it might be useful to Sein, but another part just wanted to go back there himself.
What Sein did not know was that Black Oblivion's visit to the Divine Tower of Ashes was not only to congratulate him and offer help; he was also there to borrow money from his little sister, Tourmaline.
Tourmaline was far richer than Black Oblivion.
Not long ago, several elders from the Immortal Realm Civilization had visited. Charmed by her sweet and obedient demeanor, they showered her with a mountain of lavish gifts—all of which she had carefully stored away.
In personality, the siblings could not be more different.
Black Oblivion liked to indulge and wander. He was always off somewhere, enjoying himself. As a result, he had pretty much burned through his wealth.
Still, he was a fiercely loyal person. Over time, more and more Rank Four or higher magic beast kings had become his close friends.
If White Stella was the one who communicated with the sea races, then Black Oblivion was undoubtedly the key figure among the magic beasts of Magus World.
Tourmaline, on the other hand, was a complete homebody.
If the conditions were right, she could easily stay in one place and sleep for hundreds of years.
She did not go out much, which naturally meant she had very few close friends.
After all, how could she make friends if she rarely left home?
What frustrated her brother the most was that Tourmaline's wealth and treasures only ever flowed in—never out.
He had seen her hoard vast amounts of treasure over the years, but not once had he seen her actually spend any of it.
When he showed up at the Divine Tower of Ashes hoping to borrow some money, he was not surprised that he got turned down by his own little sister.
It was not that Tourmaline did not care about him, but White Stella had already warned her in advance.
"Big Sister told me that if you come asking for money, I must say no. I'm a good girl, I have to listen to her," Tourmaline said, blinking innocently.
Apparently, White Stella had somehow already caught wind of Black Oblivion's recent antics.
He had just been scolded by her, and now, hearing Tourmaline repeat those words made his scalp tingle.
"Can Reyno Star City really help with some of my current problems?" Sein asked, looking at him skeptically.
"Of course! Most of the foreign deities there are clueless but loaded. You're a mage, aren't you? Brew a few potions, craft a few artifacts. You'll be rolling in cash in no time!" Black Oblivion grinned.
"And besides, there's another great spot over there," he added, rubbing his hands excitedly.
The deities Sein knew, like Eugene or the Verdant Wilderness God, were dirt poor.
Rather than thinking about borrowing money from them, Sein was lucky if they did not come asking him for favors.
As for borrowing from Tourmaline... he would not consider it unless he was truly out of options.
He had a feeling that if he asked, she might agree—but she would probably do it with a pained look on her face.
It was not that Tourmaline was stingy. It was just her nature.
Sein had seen enough examples of dragons hoarding wealth and the results of their lustful behavior.
Thanks to Black Oblivion's suggestion, a few ideas began to take shape in Sein's mind.
He had already sold off most of his materials from Faeloria through the Capiche Business Alliance, but a few rare items still remained.
Those items included the corpse of the Rank Four Goddess of Waters, divine artifact-grade materials taken from the God of Craft, and even a few divine artifacts.
If he used those materials to craft potions or magic artifacts, he figured they would likely fetch a high price.
The only issue was that ever since advancing to Rank Four, he had not found the time to sit down and focus on potion-making or alchemy.
Still, he had divine artifacts he did not need. Those could definitely be sold.
In Sein's opinion, Gondrath's craftsmanship was pretty decent.
He was not expecting to sell everything in one go. If he could bring in a few hundred thousand, maybe even a couple million magicoins, that would be good enough.
Thankfully, Gondrath had been sitting on quite a stash. There were several finished divine artifacts left behind.
"Alright," Sein said at last, nodding. "I'll go with you and take a look."
