chapter 1 - Clone's Starting Talent Light Group
"Where is this place?"
His scattered pupils slowly focused. Qin Tian blinked, looking around in confusion.
The steel walls gleamed with a cold light. People in uniform black outfits formed a square formation, neat, solemn, and silent, like lifeless statues standing still.
Wasn't I playing games at home? How did I end up here?
Qin Tian subconsciously opened his mouth, wanting to say something, just then, a memory hidden deep in his brain surfaced.
I am Alpha 7 Star, a third-generation battlefield replicant, designation 89757.
My mission °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° is to be loyal to the Empire, loyal to the army, obey the commands of my superiors, pick up weapons, and eliminate all invading enemies.
The brief information flow was like a drop of water, merging into Qin Tian's more than twenty years of memories without causing any ripples.
Replicant, Empire, weapons...
Qin Tian lowered his eyelids, a strong sense of tension and panic rising deep within him.
I actually transmigrated!
And this identity, how does it sound like cannon fodder?
Thump, thump, thump.
The crisp sound of leather shoes hitting the ground broke the silence.
"New recruits, welcome to this cruel world."
A tall and burly officer stood in front of the formation. He didn't use any amplification equipment, but his deep, resonant voice clearly reached everyone's ears.
"You are war machines created by the Empire. Loyalty and sacrifice are your innate destinies."
"From today onwards, you will pick up your weapons, fight for the Empire, fight for the people, and write an immortal chapter of Imperial glory with your blood and lives."
"Long live the Empire!!!"
This last sentence seemed to touch a switch deep in their souls.
In an instant, all the replicants' eyes burst with fervor and excitement, their neat and loud voices almost overturning the roof.
"Long live the Empire!!!"
..........
The towering command tower, like a steel giant, stood in the center of the camp. Indicator lights flickered at the top of the tower, constantly sending information streams to the surrounding warships and defensive fortifications.
Thump, thump, thump.
The officer led thousands of replicants out of the barracks. The crowd in black uniforms was like a flood, instantly attracting everyone's attention.
"This is the third batch of replicants, right? Why is the number much smaller than the previous two batches?"
"It shows that the logistics department is really under a lot of pressure; they can barely afford to manufacture even this kind of cannon fodder."
"The situation is becoming increasingly grim. If this continues, I'm afraid we'll have to retreat."
"Sigh, so many people have died. If we still have to give up our territory to those disgusting orcs in the end, I really can't accept it."
The distant conversations reached his ears. Qin Tian discovered that this body's various functions were exceptionally good: his eyesight was sharp, allowing him to see small pebbles dozens of meters away; his hearing was sensitive, enabling him to hear whispers from a great distance; and his physique was robust—just by clenching his fist, he could feel the powerful strength flowing within him.
In his previous life, he would have been almost a weakened version of Captain America; all Olympic gold medals would have been as easy as picking things out of his pocket for him.
However, here, he was what outsiders called—cannon fodder.
"Haha, Raymond, you've arrived just in time."
From a black tracked vehicle, a man in a silver uniform jumped down and quickly walked to the front of the formation, saying to the officer:
"I need hands to unload the bodies into the morgue. Let these replicants do the work for me."
"Alright."
Raymond nodded in agreement. In the military camp, body disposal was an important task, with a higher priority than new recruit training.
"Good, then follow me."
The man in the silver uniform lightly leaped onto the five-meter-high vehicle, as agile as a bird, completely astonishing Qin Tian.
What was that?
A super Captain America?
"Everyone, run forward."
Officer Raymond shouted loudly, then led the team closely behind the convoy. After about 20 minutes, they arrived in front of a huge barracks.
"Move all the bodies inside."
Clank, clank, clank.
Mechanical arms extended from the vehicle, grabbing bodies from inside and slowly placing them on the ground.
The replicants lined up, one after another, picking up the bodies from the ground and moving them to the designated room in the barracks.
Soon, it was Qin Tian's turn.
He held a man with only half a body remaining in his arms. Dark red blood stained his chest, and the strong smell of blood entered his nose, making him feel nauseous to the point of wanting to vomit.
However, he still endured the discomfort, and like the other replicants, completed the work expressionlessly.
First body, second body...
Gradually, Qin Tian found himself adapting to the work. Even if the body in his arms was severely mutilated, even if its intestines were exposed, his reaction was no longer as strong as it had been initially.
This would have been unimaginable before.
"Could it be that the instinct of this clone body is influencing me?"
Qin Tian pursed his lips, then squatted down to pick up the next body.
Just then, he saw a green orb of light suddenly float up from the body. He thought he was imagining things, but the next second, the light orb flew towards his chest.
Pop~
The light orb merged into his body. Qin Tian's body stiffened for a second or two, then he slowly got up, expressionlessly carrying the body away.
"Name: Absolute Gun Sense (Green)"
"Type: Passive Talent"
"Description: The wielder possesses an innate mastery over firearms, capable of comprehensively predicting target trajectories based on the environment to achieve precise strikes."
Several lines of text appeared before his retina.
Qin Tian slightly lowered his head, concealing the surprise and excitement that surged in his eyes.
"I knew it, how could a transmigrator not have a golden finger?"
As cannon fodder in the eyes of outsiders, he had originally been very pessimistic about the future, believing it would be difficult for him to survive in this cruel war environment.
But now, it seems there's always a way out.
This battlefield, filled with blood and death, might even be a place of opportunity for him.
Qin Tian quickened his pace, placed the body in the morgue, then found a less crowded team to queue up, taking on the next body.
It was a thin man wearing silver leather battle armor. From his appearance, the man seemed to have sustained no injuries, but when Qin Tian picked him up, he found that almost all of the man's bones were shattered. With a slight shake, a clattering sound would come from within his body, as if bones were rubbing against each other.
Fortunately, this man actually brought him two talent orbs.
One green, one white.
"Name: Danger Perception (Green)"
"Type: Passive Talent"
"Description: Those with this talent are like battlefield prophets, capable of keenly sensing nearby dangers and reacting in time."
...
"Name: Low-level Blade Sense (White)"
"Type: Passive Talent"
"Description: Those with this talent possess an extraordinary understanding and mastery of blades, enabling more precise blade trajectories and fluid, natural swinging motions."
