There are as one another factor that could keep these girls safe that is the existence of twelve poeple that came with them.
Lihn, Tom and others were much more valuable so much so that Samuel went out of his to hire them with undisclosed amount of money.
These people barely came out of the second mansion where their base was situated. Maids and butler who took care of them only needed to provide food and clothing, they would take care of their basic necessities after which Linh and others would practically spend their time in front of the screen.
The facilities were upgraded to the highest level possible. Samuel was even willing to buy a supercomputer for them to research but he knew his movements would be discovered making other people alarmed about what he was going to do with it.
For now, Linh and other' locati as still unknown unlike the girls. Everyone knew what Richard would ask them to do so they knew the horror of 'technological' takeover. With such a capable group only most famous intelligence firewall could stop them.
This was just their wishful thinking, if they within few years these people would go on to change the entire history with era defining discoveries, they would go crazy with jealousy and envy.
Even Samuel couldn't predict how it would turn out in the end. They were capable and smart but the enemy was still holding a lot of cards still he wasn't worried about it.
If he wanted to he could write down several discoveries that were made in the future in just a day. Although he couldn't see this realm future due to his existence but he could see the others.
This was the task he laid out for each of them when he left. The stack of papers were vital clues, he only needed to wait for a while to know if they were going to pass his test or not.
With such a heavy task infront of them and them being inherently different from others, their minds were fully focused on research. It was great that there were people beside them to take care of them or else they would have collapsed by now.
This also made Nicole worried. She didn't have much contact with others but she did talk to Linh when Samuel wwas around. The little girl was strange and always had a expressionless face.
She had tried many times to set a schedule for them but they wouldn't listen to her. When others present would look at the situation they couldn't shake their head because of the irony.
" Ma'am, you should follow a schedule first before preaching about it to others!" But these things forever stay in their heart. They could feel Nicole's sincerity.
Samuel was beyond their reach so when Nicole the personal maid took over, they also felt a little panic thinking the girl would always look down on them.
After all, even their boss was special the people around them would feel different. It was mostly the kind and honest boss that would have some cunning people beside him trying to take advantage of the situation but Nicole was completely different from their imagination.
She wasn't pretending to care but she really cared about everything and everyone. This was why they were so distress seeing her in such a state.
" I am okay. Just bring me a glass of water." Nicole waved her hand. They would nag at her many times a day, she was almost used to it.
Others could only smile bitterly before hurrying back to fetch the water. There was a fridge right behind her but she would take this little time to slump back on the sofa to rest.
She always thought she was sneaky but people have already discovered it the first time she did it. They would take few minutes to give her some time to rest making up new excuses everytime it happens.
After couple of minutes and feeling the warmness of sofa, her eyelids became heavy. She was obviously tired and wanted to sleep. Fighting the urge for a minute, just as she was about to succumb to the temptation, she saw a familiar figure entering the room.
She couldn't possibily use her master's office so she transformed the next room with some basic furniture. The furnitures were extremely costly but it was nothing for her and her master.
" I knew it. Nicole, go to sleep. Leave everything to me." It was Lucie who came back from another 'business' trip. Nicole didn't know what she was up to but she never asked.
" You- Why are you here?" Nicole immediately pulled herself up trying to dispelled the fog in her brain.
She couldn't look weak in front of this person because she knew how much young master valued her. She did a lot for him in just few months, in her heart Nicole thought Lucie's contributed more than her after all she was just a maid!
This was why she wanted to prove herself more both for the girls and herself. Lucie didn't know what was going inside the little girl's head.
If she learned about it she would laugh out loud. Nicole's position was special hiw could she compare to her? She was just fortune enough to work for Amex and happened to meet him at right place at the right time! If not, there was no chance to ever know someone like her boss!
Nicole on the other hand was always threatened by the other party. She had looks and was competent in helping him. Even though she said in passing that she already had someone in her life, Nicole never met that person, no one had!
There were many celebration and parties, Lucie attented quite a lot of them. Ehy didn't she bring him as her plus one? She was always alone following one step behind Samuel! This was obviously her ploy to let others put their guard down! This made Nicole wary of her existence and her constant presence in her master's life!
