Eternal Heavenly Emperor

Chapter 508: Bronze Dragon

"This mountain definitely hides a supreme treasure!"

The War Emperor of the Gao Family didn't know there were stronger levels above the War God, so he speculated it was a War God-level treasure. If he could obtain it, perhaps he could break the Gu Clan's fate and become the second War God of his family.

This excited him immensely, but his killing intent was like an ocean.

Nothing and no one could stop him from obtaining this treasure. Did this little girl dare to stay at the foot of the mountain, trying to steal his opportunity?

The old man was furious, his right hand raised again as the Sword Clouds began to move once more.

"Yun, get out of the way!" Chu Hao roared, struggling to get up. Having survived a strike from the War Emperor was already an incredible miracle; how could he not be injured? Not only was he injured, but he was severely injured. Forcing himself up, he suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and collapsed powerless.

Yun, however, seemed unaware, standing still as a stone, unmovable.

The Sword Clouds struck!

Oddly enough, these iron swords stopped three feet in front of Yun, unable to advance any further as if blocked by an invisible barrier.

Boom!

A violent momentum circulated, the mountain began to tremble, countless stones rolled down from above, some ordinary rocks and some spirit stones, mixed together.

"What is happening! What is happening!" the War Emperor of the Gao Family's eyes bulged, nearly going mad!

Previously, when his combat power had dropped sharply, his attacks were either absorbed by Chu Hao or rebounded by Su Wanyue. But now, with his power fully restored, he thought he could wreak havoc everywhere, never expecting to encounter yet another freak.

He was truly about to have a heart attack.

Thud, thud, thud, thud. More and more mountain rocks tumbled down, as large as houses, crashing to the ground with a loud bang. The cracks in the ground grew larger, with radiant light bursting forth, creating an incredibly shocking momentum.

"Is the supreme treasure about to emerge? Is the supreme treasure about to emerge?" the War Emperor of the Gao Family murmured, his eyes fiery.

"Ang—" a loud noise, like the cry of a dragon.

Rumble, the mountain completely split open, revealing a huge... dragon head!

This whole mountain, it was actually a raised dragon head!

Heaven!

As the dragon head lifted, its giant dragon body also rose from the ground, stretching endless miles.

This was not a living dragon, for it had only a skeletal body, as if made from bronze, each bone glowing, emitting a holy and mighty aura, in front of which even the War Emperor could only pay homage.

Chu Hao was shocked. So they had been walking on a giant dragon's body these past days. What kind of colossal creature was this?

Yun was standing on the dragon's skull, her body emitting a golden glow, responding to the Bone Dragon's light.

"Indeed, a supreme treasure has emerged, but it's solely the fortune of that Little Dragon Maiden," Fat Cat sighed, sounding quite regretful. "This deity has yet to taste dragon liver!" It beat its chest and stamped its feet.

"No, this is my fortune!" the War Emperor of the Gao Family roared crazily, charging towards Yun, trying to take her place.

Whoosh!

A huge bone claw swung down, and like a fly, the War Emperor was smacked to the ground with a slap, splashing a spray of fresh blood. The mighty War Emperor died in such a humiliating manner.

The Bone Dragon finally fully revealed its body, stretching thousands of miles, its skeleton emanating unlimited divine light, its aura surging, causing the whole Sky Martial Star to tremble.

"I understand now," Fat Cat slapped its paw, "This Bronze Dragon, after dying here, not only gave birth to Spatial Crystal Insects but also concentrated its essence into a Spirit Stone mining vein."

Chu Hao nodded. Compared with First Grade Spirit Stones, those were trivial; the real treasure was this Divine Dragon. Even now, with only its skeleton remaining, it was a supreme treasure.

Yet Chu Hao felt no jealousy, content as long as his own people benefitted. "It's enough that the benefits don't flow to outsiders."

The Bone Dragon hovered, like the Dragon Emperor had arrived, its presence unmatched.

Yun's body continued to release radiant light, but the colors differed – one bronze, one golden. At first, Yun's light was nearly negligible, but as time passed, the brilliance emitted became increasingly astonishing.

"Although this Bronze Dragon has long been dead, its lingering will wishes to pass its understanding to its descendants. Yun really struck it big this time. This Bronze Dragon had at least reached the Star Master level, capable of enhancing Yun's bloodline by countlessfold," Fat Cat filled with envy. "And it's especially about Laws Comprehension. A Star Master must control a Five-level Law, and it's even spatial in nature. If only it were handed down to this deity."

Chu Hao was also happy for Yun. The Laws of Life in his body had fully circulated, healing many of his injuries. He struggled to stand up, seeing Gu Qingcheng helping Su Wanyue come over. The three stood together, waiting for Yun to complete her inheritance.

"Cold Ice, don't think I like you just because I'm helping you out. Just now, you helped me out a bit, so now I'm returning the favor. Don't misunderstand," Gu Qingcheng said to Su Wanyue without cheer.

"Likewise, likewise!" Su Wanyue responded in kind.

Chu Hao couldn't help but sigh. Why couldn't these two women get along? He wasn't asking for much, they didn't need to share a blanket, but at least they shouldn't be enemies.

In mid-air, the inheritance was still continuing, with Dragon's Might sweeping across, creating visible fluctuations to the naked eye.

"It looks like it's going to be a while, let's heal our injuries first," Chu Hao said as he sat down, channeling Star Force to speed up the healing process.

Su Wanyue also began healing her wounds, leaving Gu Qingcheng and Fat Cat with no choice but to sit around and stare at each other in boredom.

Half a day later, Chu Hao was the first to recover, and three days later, Su Wanyue had also fully recovered. However, Yun Cai was still accepting the inheritance of the Bronze Dragon, and it was unclear how much longer it would take.

"It must be almost done!" Fat Cat speculated.

Indeed, it was nearing completion. The next day, the brilliance emitted by the Bronze Dragon became extremely unstable, flickering for about ten minutes before suddenly bursting, and the skeleton shattered into nothingness.

"Oh no, my Dragon Bone Soup!" Fat Cat cried out again, lamenting the loss. It was frustrating enough not to get the dragon liver, but to miss out on even the bone soup was disappointing to the extreme.

"Hey, what's that?" Chu Hao darted forward and picked up several translucent stones from the ground that, while almost completely clear, carried odd patterns. There were no traces of spiritual energy, yet they exuded an immensely precious aura.

"Spirit Core!" Fat Cat nodded, "This is a Spirit Core, condensed essence of the earth's elements. After refining it, your soul will greatly strengthen, your Soul Seed will grow, and your mastery over the elements will also enhance significantly."

"Exactly four pieces, one for each of us." Chu Hao laughed and handed one each to Su Wanyue and Gu Qingcheng, "Go on, take it, don't be shy."

Su Wanyue and Gu Qingcheng both stored away their Spirit Cores; there was no rush, and since Gu Qingcheng hadn't advanced to War Venerate yet, she couldn't refine it.

Boom!

Yun Cai fell from the sky, and Chu Hao hurriedly flew out to catch her, immediately feeling the heaviness, nearly dislocating his arm.

She was heavy.

"Girl, girl!" Chu Hao called out.

"Mmm, I really want to sleep, don't disturb me!" Yun Cai stretched lazily, suddenly slapping Chu Hao on the shoulder with great force and sending him flying.

Thud, thud, both fell to the ground at the same time.

Chu Hao grinned and said, "What have I done to deserve this? Did you need to push me with such force?"

Yun Cai stuck out her tongue and said, "It seems my strength has suddenly increased by many folds, oh, my Soul Seed has grown so strong, at least a Sixth Tier now!"

Sixth Tier War Venerate!

This, of course, was due to the inheritance of the Bronze Dragon, advancing her cultivation by five minor realms in a flash. Announcing this would surely incite envy, as advancing even one step in War Venerate often takes several years, with some stuck at the First Tier their whole life.

And there she was, soaring from First Tier to Sixth Tier just by standing for a few days.

"Isn't the Bronze Dragon a Star Master level? How come its inheritance only elevated Yun Cai by a few minor realms?" Chu Hao wondered aloud. According to Fat Cat, a Star Master is hundreds or thousands of times stronger than a War God, so the Bronze Dragon's inheritance should at least elevate Yun Cai's cultivation by a realm or two.

It would be great if she could reach War Emperor, an Innate Body Cultivator at War Emperor level, is undying even to a War God.

"You're thinking too much!" Fat Cat shook its head repeatedly, "Think about it, the Bronze Dragon has been dead for so many years, most of its essence turned into Spatial Crystal Insects, and some into Spirit Stones. Isn't an advancement of five minor realms enough for Yun? Besides, the important aspect of this inheritance isn't the increase in power, but the comprehension of Laws. Don't you understand, from War God onwards, touching upon the Laws, comprehending Laws is the key!"

"I don't understand!" Chu Hao shook his head too.

Fat Cat was left speechless.

"Hahaha, I am so powerful now!" Yun Cai yelled excitedly, being a Sixth-Tier War Venerate was indeed very strong, and coupled with her innate cultivation and Dragon Race lineage, her combat power was naturally even stronger.

"Yes, yes, you are very powerful now, none of us is a match for you," Chu Hao said with a smile.

Yun gloated for a while, then pressed her head, saying, "But, there are so many things locked inside that I can't use."

"That's natural, the Laws! You think you can wield the Laws as a War Venerate?" Fat Cat shook its head repeatedly, "Young lady, just be content!"

"Shall we refine the Spirit Core now or go ahead and see what's further ahead?" Su Wanyue asked Chu Hao.

"Let's refine them first, to boost our strength a bit," Chu Hao said, handing a Spirit Core to Yun Cai.

All three began refining the Spirit Core. Gu Qingcheng, having nothing better to do, sat down to cultivate as well, and soon, the area quieted down once again. Since the skeleton of the Bronze Dragon had turned into nothingness, it naturally became pitch black again.

Chu Hao held the Spirit Core in both hands, opened the Flame Furnace, and began refining.

Wave after wave of elusive comprehensions flooded into his Divine Sense, enhancing his understanding of the natural world, while his Divine Soul also grew stronger under the nourishment of the Spirit Core, and his Soul Seed rapidly enhanced.(To be continued.
